A unique opportunity has arisen within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust for people with lived experience of mental health challenges to join our lived experience workforce as a band 4 Peer Assistant Practitioner in the DBT service.
By using your own lived experience of trauma, you will be supporting people in the DBT service as part of the brand new ‘Personality and Complex Trauma’ Pathway.
**You will**:
evidence and show visible recovery; showing that change is possible and giving a strong message of hope and understanding.
be a positive role model helping to inspire, motivate, guide and support our people to engage with services and work on their recovery.
use your lived experience, to offer emotional and practical support, helping people move to a positive, meaningful and fulfilled future and take a lead in group facilitation.
develop the role and be a part of a service undergoing exciting organisational change

The ideal person will work alongside and assist dynamic multidisciplinary teams to provide support to members of the local community with Personality and Complex trauma. opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment and work alongside experienced senior staff and receive regular supervision. There will also be opportunities to supervise others and develop your own leadership skills.
Applicants must have lived experience of Personality and Complex Trauma
Have received support within secondary care mental health services/DBT service.
Formal Peer Worker training and experience.
Prior participation in the three-day Peer Worker supervisor training provided by ImROC is advantageous
Internal and external training opportunities will be available as we are passionate to develop our staff.
