The Oaks Academy is a vibrant, forward thinking 11-16 school with an increasing cohort of 630 students by September 2023. The school is committed to providing a high-quality inclusive education for students of whom over forty per cent are multi-lingual.

The P.E. Curriculum Area is committed to driving progress and attainment to improve the life chances of every student. We require an excellent teacher and leader who is passionate about providing young people with the best possible education whatever their background or ability.

An excellent knowledge and understanding of P.E. is essential. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. Applications are invited from experienced professionals with a proven track record of raising attainment and progress. The applicants will be expected to provide clear, cohesive leadership and direction in the Curriculum Area and motivate teaching and support colleagues in developing innovative strategies to enhance the quality of learning, teaching and achievement, whilst contributing to the strategic development of the Academy by implementing whole Academy new initiatives, monitoring and reporting on key outcomes, to ensure the Curriculum Area meets academic targets.

**The Oaks Academy P.E. Curriculum** not only teaches students skills and competitive play, there is also a strong focus on discipline, respect, health and leadership. All students experience a range of sports and physical activity, developing the students independent and team work skills. Students are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular clubs to broaden their opportunities and further develop their character and resilience.
