Duties of the role;
As a Cost Engineer, you will play a key role within the business unit with the principal objective of managing commercial information that is critical to the commercial management.

The role predominantly supports the commercial team in preparing key commercial information for internal and client presentations. Excellent Excel skills for this role would definitely be advantageous. Microsoft Excel features heavily in estimating, costreporting, budgeting and forecasting aspects of the business.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Preparing work package tenders from surveys collated by the operational team
- Processing packages through the client system to generate work service orders
- Raising appropriate supplier and sub-contract orders under direction from the commercial team, inputting information to the IPLAN system
- Responsible for managing all aspects of allocated projects with a brief to ensure on time delivery
- Maintaining close liaison with site operations and commercial management team to ensure compliance with and delivery of contractual obligations
- Implement adequate project controls to improve the efficiency and enhance the profitability of projects, including debt management
- Respond to all requests for collation and presentation of information to produce monthly contract review reports and comply with the business requirements for CVR completion, submission and reporting
- Support the Site Operations and Commercial teams as appropriate with statistical and commercial support to ensure that the service capability is adequately communicated to both existing clients and prospective business alike

- Knowledge of being able to collate and pull through data in order to support management teams with the execution of bringing in commercial projects on time and in budget is crucial to the business
- Flexibility to travel across the UK with overnight stays
