We are seeking a part-qualified or newly qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant to play a lead role as we work with a number of local businesses across County Durham supporting them through their annual audit process. We are a nationally recognised accounting firmwith the benefit of regional offices which allows the personal touch and freedom for staff to hold autonomy and be part of the local decision-making.

From our offices in Darlington we are seeking to appoint to our award-winning practice a part or fully qualified Accountant to take the lead on a number of locally based audits. If you would enjoy working for a nationally recognised accountancy firm witha regional presence across the north east this could be of interest.

Working in both audit and accounts you will be responsible for the preparation of statutory year end accounts in addition to external audits. All clients are locally based, requiring no overnight or travel away from home. With a genuine working week of 35hours, you will find this opportunity can give you a great work life balance.

We do require a professional with current UK external audit experience as you will be leading on site with some clients, reporting to the Manager or Partner where appropriate. Clients vary in sector and size, you will get to work with both private and publicsector clients including charities. Some audit work is carried out remotely while the remainder is still on site. You also have some flexibility to work from home when needed.
