Concept Designer

Techniche Global are supporting a large marine manufacturer based in Oundle, to appoint a Concept Designer.
Previous marine experience is not essential for this role, they can consider any sector background with engineering experience in the disciplines they are seeking engineers in (Mechanical, Electrical, Joinery etc).

**Salary**: £34,000 - £38,000
Location: Oundle, Peterborough
Key tasks:

- Delivering multiple upcoming new products and facelift projects.
- Working with a team of designers to define internal and external components, mouldings, and other outfitting items during the Concept phase.
- Be able to produce accurate 3D surfaces and information required for the release of CNC mould tooling data.
- Have a clear understanding of materials and design standards.
- Experience with the design of GRP components would be beneficial, although not essential.
- The ability to work on multiple projects within the early Concept development phase.
- Liaise with the Production team and other departments within the business.
- Ensure that the product complies with all relevant Codes and Classifications.
- To be able to think logically and provide solutions to problems when required.
Key requirements:

- Due to the creative nature of the work, a design based background is desirable.
- Degree level qualification.
- Able to work with 3D CAD software -Siemens NX or equivalent software.
- Excellent communication skills.
