Qc Supervisor

**The Role**

Fresh People are currently recruiting for a QC Supervisor whom has previously worked with soft fruit looking for the next step in their career. The role is a Berry Product Manager for our Client a Fresh Produce Business, the role will be based in Arundel West Sussex. In the role you will be working independently on behalf of my client but in partnership with the Berry Farm Production Manager, highlighting quality issues and identifying areas for improvement with the harvesting teams.

**The Person**
- Inspect soft fruit pallets produced by the farm / supplier and measure against the most up to date Customer Raw Material Specifications completing a QC report
- On completion of inspection uploaded to the detail to the QC reporting system (Prophet)
- Report any pallets that fail to meet the required specification and report to the Farm Production Manager recording non-conformances and review weekly with the Technical Manager, Production Manager and PM teams logging any ongoing issues
- Each load destined to be distributed to our client service provider must have Sensitech Temperature recorders.
- Organize samples and trials and if required be involved with any trials / sampling of new varieties or packaging with the Farm Production manager.
- Capture any new varieties of all soft fruit and update the variety master sheet.
- Engage with any customer site visits as required and assist with site audits as required
- Manage and monitor site shelf for all products reporting any failures back to our clients Technical Manager and Farm Production Manager
- Report QC results at daily production meeting on site.
- Deliver a 95% accuracy on QA reporting on all berries within a +/- 3% tolerance
- Ensure that re-inspection of product that is stored overnight is carried out and any reduction in quality is reported.
- Project a positive image to colleagues, site workers, customers, and suppliers in all interactions
- Report any hygiene, machine, or other site concerns to Farm Production Manager
- Ensure that the customers required quality standards are understood and effectively maintained and communicated to the Farm Production Manager
- Through continuous improvement facilitate and support the development of improvement processes to deliver improved KPI performance
