In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Gardener to join our expanding grounds team.
The role will suit a knowledgeable, confident, and personable gardener who can communicate well with others while helping to maintain a large estate.
The Role:
- Maintaining formal lawns, flower beds, hedges, shrubs, and borders
- Carrying out landscaping duties including drainage clearance, pathways, and steps
- Clearing leaves around the site, both by machine and manually
- Carrying out minor repairs around the estate
- Weeding and pruning of the flower and shrub borders
- Hedge pruning - formal yew and box hedging as well as native hedgerows
- Wildflower meadow maintenance - weed control and yearly cutting
- Carrying out general woodland path and tree maintenance
- Assisting residents with any gardening or horticulturally based queries.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Gardener or within grounds maintenance
- Strong general plant knowledge
- Competent working to Health and Safety and COSHH regulations
- Experience using a wide variety of garden maintenance petrol equipment
- Any qualifications within the horticultural would be desirable but not essential.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time opportunity where the Gardener will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm
