**Pricing & Promotions Trading Assistant**

As a Pricing & Promotions Trading Assistant, you will be responsible for:
**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining systems and records accurately for all Promotion and Pricing activity
- Supporting Commercial Analyst, Commercial and Buying & Merchandising teams with identification and monitoring of price competition
- Proposing and carrying out price actions based on competitor stock levels and prices
- Supporting with reporting and analysis on competitor and tactical promotions
- Developing understanding of key business KPIs and the competitor landscape across our markets
- Liaising with Commercial, B&M and other functions to make recommendations for the Promotions and Pricing processes
- Creating and carrying out training for the B&M teams on Promotions and Pricing processes
- Supporting with trading, markdown, seasonality and terminal stock processes
- Supporting with reprocessing and return to vendor (RTV) processes
- Supporting the wider Commercial Trading team with BAU trading activity and reporting
- Taking responsibility for own career progression and deputising for the Commercial Analyst where required

**General Responsibilities**
- Providing the necessary B&M systems support to enable the efficient operation of trading across departments
- Compiling and maintaining company-wide weekly and periodic reporting for events, themes and promotional campaigns
- Producing daily and weekly stock and sales reports for the business
- Carrying out system tasks to support the wider trading activities
- Assisting the Commercial Analyst with general administration and ad-hoc projects as they arise
- Managing and maintaining accurate and timely analysis of all agreed key performance indicators
- Providing ad hoc statistical analysis as required
- Building relationships with key stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities across the business
- Working with teams across the business to gather required numerical data
- Positively challenging colleagues to influence the wider business strategy
- Educating colleagues by sharing information and insights
- Presenting analytical data to senior leaders

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- An understanding of Fashion and Merchandising. Qualifications in Fashion, Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, Maths, or a similar discipline are a plus. Or, if you’re already a talented Merchandising Assistant, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
- Strong commercial acumen with a genuine interest in enhancing the customer experience
- An eye for detail and excellent time management skills
- Comfortable using IT systems and desire to become an SME
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills displaying confidence and influencing skills when presenting information to senior stakeholders
- A way with numbers and the ability to investigate and solve data inaccuracies and produce analysis reports
- An organisation obsession and the ability to stay on top of and be aware of the current priorities and performance of the business
- A willingness to take responsibility for your own career progression and deputise for the Commercial Analyst where required
