- Full-time, Fixed-term appointment until 02 July 2025A wonderful opportunity has arisen with the Donnelly - Nolan - Weetman Groups, to study the evolution of insecticide resistance in the malaria vector _Anopheles gambiae_. With collaborators from KEMRI, Kenya and Imperial College, London, the Group is seeking to appoint an experienced researcher within a NIAID-funded programme, at the Research Assistant or Post-Doctoral Research Associate level dependent on experience.
**To be successful in this role, it is essential that you demonstrate**:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or mosquito biology/entomology for appointment as PDRA
- Experience or knowledge of next generation sequencing technologies
- Experience or knowledge of genome editing approaches using CRISPR or other site-specific nucleases
- Experience of training staff in lab practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- An ability to thrive as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment
