0-19 Healthy Child Programme SPA Admin Assistant

**Job Purpose**: To work as part of the administrative team within the Single Point of Access (SPA) providing a high-quality service within the Trusts Childrens and Young Peoples Health Services. The post holder will work as part of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough 0-19 Children and Young Peoples health services, providing office-based call handling and administrative support. Main Duties and Responsibilities To be a call handler for 0-19 HCP team, forwarding calls to appropriate area. To answer the telephone, take and pass on messages from the public, health colleagues and other agencies; ensuring that follow up actions from communications are progressed efficiently and effectively.
To participate in team meetings. To adhere to Trust policies and procedures. To comply with Trust mandatory training requirements. To undertake any other tasks within the competence of the employee, as requested.
Communication To communicate with service users, parents and carers, health professionals and external stakeholders using a variety of media including IT and digital media. To handle sensitive and confidential information in a confidential manner. Maintaining positive relationships and communication with colleagues across the service. To adhere to Trust complaints procedures.
The post holder must report to the Line Manager any issues requiring action where feedback is required. Human Resources Maintaining own professional development and requirement to take part in appraisal and KSF process. Clinical and Practice Governance Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any patient/family/staff/records and information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, faxed, or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies.
The post holder must adhere to the Trust risk assessment and risk management processes. The post holder must adhere to infection control policies and procedures. Undertake mandatory training and any other training relevant to the role as required by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. The post holder is required to participate in relevant emergency preparedness process for their team.
