**Requirements of a Support Worker**
- A caring attitude
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Good listening and communication skills
- Experience in dealing with challenging behaviours and using de-escalation techniques
- To work in a trauma informed way
- The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
- Good writing skills to fill in documentation
- Where appropriate to participate in child case planning meetings, case reviews, case conferences and LAC reviews concerning children & families
- Stimulate young people on how to use and make wise choices
- Working in partnership with young people, their social worker and carers and other relevant agencies
- Direct work with young people, key working and generally taking an active part in providing support on a shift work basis

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Support/Key Worker and join our close-knit team in providing an essential service to looked after children. Supporting and teaching young people with a wide variety of everyday life skills, you will enable them to live as independently as possible in a safe and encouraging environment. Shift Pattern
- 9am - 9pm
- 9pm - 9am
- Sleep in (11pm - 7am)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Croydon, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
