Woodford Green, United Kingdom Woodford Children's Home Ltd. Full time

**Job description Children's Residential Support Worker**

Are you an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties?

We are looking for people who are tired of the system the way it is and want to work for an organisation that is prepared to do things differently, to support its staff fully through training and systemic supervision for you as well as the children we care for, then please send us your CV and we will be in touch.

This is an amazing opportunity to join a warm and supportive, caring team, and create an enabling environment for children and adolescents to grow up in and change their lives.

**Responsibilities**:

- To encourage the children to do activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age.
- To keep a homely, friendly culture and environment within the Home.
- To be able to deal with behaviours that challenge when needed.
- Protect children from risks to their health and welfare.
- Maintain a safe environment for the children.

**Benefits**:

- Full Training Package provided, recognised by Ofsted as equivalent to QCF Level 3
- Company Pension
- Company Events
- Casual Dress
- Sick Pay

**Requirements**:

- UK based.
- Experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential as we provide a full training package for people with the right ethos and attributes.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care or equivalent is desirable.

**The Shift Pattern**:
The shift hours are 7.40am to 8.00pm and the rota follows a two-week pattern:
Week 1 (long week)

You will work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 5 Days

Week 2 (short week)

You will work Wednesday and Thursday - 2 Days

This pattern means you will have every other weekend off and work 7 days every 2 weeks while still averaging 42 hours a week, giving you lots of time off to ensure a good work-life balance and time to rest between shifts and reducing the amount of travel time and costs to work.

In your short week there is also the opportunity to pick up some overtime if you require.

Enhanced DBS Certificate required or can also be applied for upon a Job Offer.

Schedule:

- 12-hour shift
- Day shift
