Overview:
Our client is a pharmacy within a GP surgery setting. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate locum Pharmacy Dispenser to join the team ASAP until 31st May with the view to extend if needed.

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in providing medication administration and patient care. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. **Duties**:

- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Prepare prescription orders by counting, pouring, and labeling medications
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician program or relevant experience
- Current pharmacy technician certification
- Strong knowledge of medication names, dosages, and uses
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and prescription processing

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.31 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
