**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Plant Operative to join our team. As an Asphalt Plant operative you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Asphalt plant. You will be working as part of a team to produce high quality asphalt products which complies with the relevant quality specification and customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Comply with the company’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems.
- Operate the asphalt plant in a safe and efficient manner as per induction and training.
- Ensure the plant is running at optimal capacity and efficiency ensuring down time is kept to a minimum.
- Monitor the quality of asphalt products and adjust the production process as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Assist the maintenance department to maintain and repair equipment as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the plant is operating at peak performance.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with line manager and other team members to meet production targets and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation as required.
- Report all defects on a daily basis.
- Ensure that appropriate levels are maintained for bitumen, gasoil and limestone filler and order as required.
- Ensure that the Asphalt and Concrete plant stores, stone stocking areas (Asphalt and Concrete) and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Promote and foster effective co-operative working arrangement with the company’s clients and customers.

**Requirements**:

- While industry experience would be useful, full training will be given.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet production targets.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, nights and overtime as needed.
- Full UK driving licence.

**Special Conditions or Circumstances**:
There will be a requirement to work outside normal working hours to respond to business needs. The post holder may be transferred to any other workplace within the Hogan Group. The post holders will required to attend training in new or amended legislation and regulations relevant to the post and revision courses as appropriate.
