**The Role**:
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust brings together staff and services from Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT) and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (PAT). The NCA FT was formally established on 1 October 2021 and has been working together as a group since 2016.

The Cardiology service provides a range of complex diagnostic and enhanced specialist interventional procedures for patients with coronary heart disease, heart rhythm problems, heart failure, and structural heart disease.

We have long term placement opportunities available for Band 7 Cardiac Physiologists available at Salford Royal Hospital specifically providing the following:

- Undertake autonomous interpretation of results and provision of accurate clinical reports.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in a wide range of routine and specialist techniques including interpretation of results and provision of factual/clinical reports
- Responsible for own clinical practice during all cardiac diagnostic testing and interventional procedures, including specialist or complex procedures
- Participate in highly specialist techniques such as implantation and follow-up of ICDs and biventricular devices
- Actively participate in the training and supervision of trainee/junior cardiac physiologists and other staff groups
- Undertake additional designated responsibilities such as ordering and stock control and to actively contribute toward the smooth running of an efficient and high-quality service
- Work actively with the other members of the team to provide a high-quality service to meet all service needs
- Support all cardiac physiologists working in all areas providing assistance and troubleshooting as required
- Participate in department meetings, training programmes and other developmental sessions

**Skills/Responsibilities**
- BSc Hons Degree-Clinical Physiology Cardiology
- RCCP registered
- Previous specialised cardiac physiologist experience in a broad range of basic and advanced cardiac investigations
- ASCST Parts 1& 2
- Current ILS Certificate
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- ILS Resuscitation certified
- Able to demonstrate sound knowledge in a range of techniques in non-invasive and invasive cardiology and within own specialism
- Able to organize own workload and that of other staff within specialised area
