We are looking for a hard-working team player with a mechanical background who can keep up with a fast-paced working environment.

In your role as a Fleet Maintenance Manager, you’ll be working a minimum of 40 hours a week, overseeing our fleet of 350 vehicles.

**About the Role**

In this role, you will be responsible for controlling the administration, maintenance, servicing and repairs to our fleet, both mechanical and accident damage related.

This includes:

- Using our Prohire and tracking IT systems to schedule servicing, repairs, MOT, Inspection, LOLER (Tail-Lift) and tachograph tests to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.
- Maintaining close relationships with workshops and body repairers. Ordering parts in advance of servicing or repair and assisting in the movement of vehicles to the relevant workshop.
- Monitoring and where required ordering the correct service oils for top ups, Ad Blue supplies, service parts and consumables.
- Checking on the warranty status of vehicles before repairs take place and dealing with loss of use claims when repairs take an excessive amount of time.
- Assisting reception staff and customers in an event of a vehicle breakdown. This may involve the relevant breakdown organisation for the make of vehicle concerned or one of our approved recovery companies.
- Checking and coding all repair and parts invoices and utilising Prohire to onward invoice customers if appropriate.
- Logging all vehicle information, inspection, and servicing records, manually and electronically on our Prohire IT system.
- Understanding, obtaining and logging information from electronic diagnostic devices.
- Assisting with the day to day running with SSD, Angel Vehicle Hire, SSD Contract Hire and Trustmaster
- Arranging bi-annual maintenance and inspections of vehicle lifts and other workshop equipment.

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:

- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- A minimum of 3 years and an accident-free driving record (up to 3 points and 1 accident may be acceptable).
- Have a flexible, positive ‘can-do’ attitude to work.
- Work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Great communication skills both verbally and written.
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Prepared to work extra hours when required to complete urgent tasks.

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year
