We provide a complete range of new car reviews as well as expert and independent new and used car buying and ownership advice for our audience.- We aim to stay ahead of all current SEO best practice guidelines to promote our content to the widest audience possible - while retaining editorial integrity and meeting business goals. You’ll be joining an experienced editor, and working closely with the Bauer Automotive Hub whose expert journalists work across multiple automotive brands. It’s a rewarding working environment where team-playing and individual brilliance are both celebrated and supported.**The Focus of the Role**:

- The role is based in our Peterborough office (Media House) with weekly anchor days, but working remotely for the majority of the time is not only viable, it’s encouraged.- Within this role, you would be working for Parkers.co.uk, which currently comprises of the editor and deputy editor, with a close working relationship with the digital Automotive Hub, Product, SEO and Audience Development teams.
- Parkers.co.uk is a flagship brand for Bauer’s digital portfolio and as such demands editorial excellence at all times and in all content - it has a large readership of engaged and detail-hungry consumers, who expect accurate, engaging and helpful editorial.- The Deputy Editor sits alongside the editor of Parkers.co.uk and is instrumental in ensuring the site offers the most up-to-date, accurate and relevant reviews and advice, and will have their finger on the pulse of everything in the new and used car market.- You'll also assist with the smooth running of Parkers.co.uk, and that can be through reviewing cars, updating advice content, liaising with stakeholders and acting as an ambassador for the brand throughout the wider industry.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deputising for the editor when on holiday or away
- Writing new content
- Delegating tasks and managing output from the Automotive Hub
- Working with stakeholders to ensure all strategic plans are followed
- Contributing to the future editorial strategy of Parkers.co.uk
- Create any newsletters the editor is responsible for
- Site hygiene updates as delegated by the editor
- Site SEO updates as agreed with SEO execs and the editor
- Maintaining full comms between automotive affiliates and Parkers.co.uk
- Maintaining social media (regularity and relevancy) for the brand
- De-facto section editor including:
- Ensuring test cars are assigned and reviews written/updated
- Responsibility for new content and updates for car finance and advice articles
- Responsibility for new content and updates for car leasing and advice articles
- Responsibility for new best-car articles and other listicles
- Overseeing finance/used cars newsletters
- Other responsibilities:
- Writing news, features and reviews for Parkers.co.uk and our sister website Carmagazine.co.uk
- Liaising with the Automotive Hub and creating/developing the best new content ideas
