**We are currently recruiting for a Digital Marketing Assistant to work for The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei.**

Based in the marketing and events department, you will be working directly with the Digital Marketing Manager and alongside the wider team providing digital and marketing support across both sites.

**Experience working in a marketing department is not essential** - we always look for personal qualities when recruiting, so are looking for someone who will fit in the team, be creative and enthusiastic and bring ideas and suggestions to the table.

**Role purpose**:
To assist Digital Marketing Manager and general team to plan and manage social media marketing for The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei including the venue as a tourist attraction, the charity, F&B, retail and events.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
To assist the Digital Marketing Manager working across both The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei brands. Your duties will include:

- Assist Digital Marketing Manager with content creation and posting for The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei’s social media accounts
- Working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to design and implement the social media marketing plans
- Assist with analysing social media statistics to improve marketing strategy and analysing web traffic using Google Analytics
- Assist Digital Marketing Manager with various tasks including updating website content, assisting with mailshots and day to day admin
- Collaborating with the Marketing team on ad-hoc commercial events
- Support the charity team to deliver any planned fundraising and charitable campaigns
- Support colleagues across the organisation with general queries, including Visitor Services teams and all related incoming correspondence
- Consistently use and maintain the marketing archive and image folders
- Attend regular staff and team meetings as required
- Maintain a departmental CRM system
- Press monitoring
- Collaborating with the Marketing team on ad-hoc commercial events
- Any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Digital Marketing Manager

**Person Specification**:
The successful applicant will have
- A solid interest in social media trends
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to pro-actively manage relationships with, and communicate to, internal and external customers, partners and key stakeholders
- Understand, and successfully deliver good internal and external customer service
- Enthusiastic team player, operating at all levels of the organisation
- Creative thinking, and ability to problem solve
- Excellent personal presentation
- Knowledge of creative programs such as Adobe suite (desirable)
- Driving licence (desirable)
- The role holder is required to have a flexible approach to work and may be required to undertake some evening and weekend working
- Excellent verbal, written and communications skills with strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills, whilst keeping a creative flair
- Ability to work in a values driven organisation
