Epsom, United Kingdom Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

This is an exciting time to join the Cardiology Department at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. We have just opened our brand new cardiac catheter lab and are in the process of developing our existing service. This will include percutaneous coronary intervention, complex CRT device and ICD implants, in addition to an Electrophysiology and ablation service.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Chief Cardiac Physiologist to support our expanding devices service. This is a full time position and will be based across the 2 sites of Epsom and St Helier hospitals.

The unit offers a full range of non-invasive investigations such as Echocardiography, non-medically supervised exercise tolerance tests, tilt tests, ambulatory monitoring, and a busy device implant and follow-up service.

This post is designed to support the expansion of the Cardiac Rhythm Service at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals.

The post holder will be required to work in our brand new Catheter Lab at Epsom Hospital and the Device follow-up clinics at both Epsom and St Helier hospitals.

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.

We serve an area that is rich in diversity, with a mix of urban and rural areas, and differing levels of quality of life. We cover some of the most prosperous postcodes in the country, as well as some poorer areas. Together with our colleagues at NHS Surrey and NHS Sutton and Merton, we work to make sure that we deliver the best possible care to the communities we serve.

The Trust employs approximately 5,000 staff across its hospitals and is supported by over 500 volunteers.
