The Driver Trainer will competently assess the driving abilities of all HGV drivers. Through adopting a continuous improvement outlook and using proven driving best practice techniques, you will work with the driving force to improve standards, increase MPG performance and decrease blameworthy accidents in line with Domino’s Pizza policies and standard operating procedures.

**Success in this role looks like**:

- To carry out driver assessments in line with a plan; assessing driving standards, improving safety, fuel efficiency, reducing accident frequency and to improve overall standards.
- To assess all new starters and any drivers that have experiences an accident.
- Maintain accurate paperwork for assessments and training.
- Provide accurate advice to drivers on compliance issues and transport legislation.
- Conduct any other additional relevant training.
- Produce reports on findings following driver assessments along with any action plans.
- Produce weekly driver performance tables, and identify and areas for improvements.
- Driver Assessor qualification
- HGV, C1, C, C+E Licence
- Safe & Fuel-efficient driving techniques trainer (SAFED)
- Fuel efficient driving techniques trainer
- Food handling trainer
- Manual handling trainer
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health certificate (COSHH)
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points certificate (HACCP)
- An understanding of Health & Safety legislation along with Food Safety Standards.
- Knowledge of Transport Legislation including EU Driver’s Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph legislation and knowledge on tachograph use.
- Previous experience working in a transport function.
- Ability to create and deliver classroom based training.
- Proven track record in training and assessing, to support a culture of continuous improvement.

The role will work mainly in either an office environment or an external working environment (all weathers) assessing HGV Drivers on UK Roads with some work in the yard/transport environment but may also involve work within a warehouse/loading environment and/or tray wash environment.
