Position: Part-time Driver

Location: Pick up vehicle from Bagshot

Hours: Part-time, flexible hours

**Salary**: From £12/hr (Self Employed)

**About Without Borders CIC**:
A new start-up, Without Borders CIC is a community-driven organisation dedicated to providing transport services for individuals with varying abilities and needs. We are committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that everyone in our community has access to safe, reliable, and inclusive transportation, no matter the destination.

**Role Overview**:
As a part-time driver for Without Borders CIC, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide accessible transport services to individuals in need. Your primary responsibility will be to transport passengers to and from their destinations in a safe, comfortable, and timely manner. Full training will be provided, including MiDAS, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Manual Handling to name a few.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a vehicle to transport passengers to and from appointments, activities, and other destinations.
- Provide friendly and courteous assistance to passengers, including helping with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the journey, including securing wheelchairs, mobility aids and assisting with seatbelts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting daily routine checks and reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and colleagues, providing clear directions and information as required.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with all passengers and their carers.
- Remain vigilant and observant at all times, proactively addressing any safety concerns or potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with traffic and transportation procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Valid driver's license with a D1 category code
- A clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or caregiving field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and respond to passengers' needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
- Fully enhanced DBS will be carried out.
