We are a large practice with a population of 31,000 patients. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic and friendly team.

**Job Introduction**

At its simplest, this role means taking medication to our customers, picking up prescription forms from doctor’s surgeries and delivering them to our shops. But Dispensary Delivery Drivers deliver much more than this. As part of the dispensary team you’ll deliver brilliant care to all of our customers every day.

You’ll want to achieve the highest professional standards in the way you drive, your appearance and the way you show up. You’ll be an ambassador for the practice delivering this out into the community, interacting with customers who might otherwise never come into the practice. You will be proud of what you do and be recognised as someone who makes a real difference to others lives.

You will be proud of what you do and be recognised as someone who makes a real difference to other people’s lives.

**What you will do**

This is more than just being a delivery driver You will get real satisfaction from knowing that you are part a unique service and you will love doing a role that offers so much more than other driving jobs.

You will be busy, constantly on the move. At times there will be challenges as the day unfolds; customers not at home, traffic jams. And in addition to these there is also a fair degree of heavy lifting especially when working with our monthly delivery schedule which can be quite demanding.

You will be handling important medication and ensuring it gets to where it’s needed. You will be taking it to some of the most vulnerable people in our society so you will know how important it is to make sure this is done carefully, safely and in a timely manner. Patients know you, trust you, and they will rely on **you** to make sure they get their medication when they need it.

**What you will need to have;**

We’re looking for really great, reliable people with a friendly personality. It’s all about working together **as one great team,** after all it’s our people that are at the heart of our business. You may have had a driving job before and we think that’s great, but we are more interested in the **real you**, how you contribute to our team and how you show up for our customer.

**We will require you to have;**
- Clean driving licence
- Your own transport and insurances (Mileage will be reimbursed at HMRC rates)
- Commitment to Equality and Diversity values and principles in the delivery of all aspects of the role
- Knowledge of local geography and road systems
- Ability to engage with all employees and build strong relationships
- Ability to handle sensitive information and always maintain discretion

**In addition**
- The delivery vehicle should be locked during the time of the delivery, however short.
- Appropriate, safe parking must be observed while delivering
- Prescription drugs should not be left in places accessible to the public
- Failed deliveries should be returned to the dispensary and a note made to this effect unless another arrangement is made directly with the patient

**We will carry out a DBS check prior to taking up the position due to the sensitivity and confidentiality of this role.**

**What we offer you (Benefits)**
- Generous holidays (additional long service entitlements)
- NHS pension and long service recognition
- NHS Discounts (Blue Light Card)
- Career opportunities
- Role specific training and ongoing development
- Great team environment
