**What we're looking for**:
As a case assessor for the Property Redress Scheme, you'll be receiving and handling a number of complaints, so experience working with complaints and claims handling in a property, legal or customer service environment is essential. You’ll also need to have the ability to plan and organise your time and resources as a case assessor, as you’ll be working towards KPIs and timescales.

You’ll need to have excellent attention to detail as a case assessor as you’ll be collecting and collating complaint evidence to help you write decisions recommending a resolution to resolve complaints.

**Some of the things you'll get up to**:

- Receiving and handling a reasonable number of complaints making sure all KPIs and timescales are followed
- Giving updates to complainants and members about the status of their complaint and maintaining regular contact throughout the complaint’s journey
- Communicating with letting and estate agents, landlords, tenants, leasehold management companies and other property professionals
- Working with the case officers in escalating and investigating reviews requests of decisions, and responding to any service complaints when needed
- Checking and logging complaints, to make sure that all information is recorded in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintaining your complaints spreadsheet daily and providing data to relevant parties when required

**We'd like you to have**:

- Experience in the property sector, especially the private rented sector is desirable, as well as a basic understanding of the insurance or financial services industry
- Previous work experience relating to complaint or claims handling within a property, legal or customer service environment
- Excellent customer service skills with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly and precisely (following training)
- Excellent attention to detail which will make sure that high standards of quality are consistently maintained
- Excellent understanding of PRS Terms of reference and Conditions of complaints (following training)
- Ability to work within a team environment and to co-operate with team members, building effective working relationships
- Drive and self-determination with the ability to find and implement solutions to problems
- Ability to plan and organise making effective use of time and resources
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to learn new systems and processes as required
