Plasma / Gas Profiling Cutter

We are an SME (Small Medium Enterprise) that are key suppliers to some truly global customers.

We are constantly looking to continually improve our processes and conditions so we can be our customers supplier of choice over the coming years. We can only achieve this with the support and input of our production team feeding into the site leadership team.

If you think this could be for you, we are looking for an additional team member to support our increasing order book.

We machine mild steel components from plasma and flame cut profiles on a range of standard and multi-axis CNC milling and machining centres.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to be trained on our Plasma profile cutting machine and Oxy Gas profile cutting machine.

The role will predominantly involve,
- Operation of Plasma cutting or Oxy/Gas cutting machine throughout the day shift.
- Loading of steel plates on to the machine bed using an overhead crane.
- Unloading completed components to pallets either by hand or overhead crane.
- Monitoring the quality of completed components after they are cut.
- Changing of the machines consumable components as and when required.
- Maintaining and improving housekeeping in the working area.
- Be physically fit.
- Have a good eye for detail.
- Be able to take instruction.

Hours of work are:

- 07:00 am - 16:30 pm Monday - Thursday
- 07:00 - 11:00 am Friday (40 hours total).
- Mid-morning break (paid)
- Lunch break - 30 mins - unpaid
- Free tea & coffee.

Training will be provided where required.

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour plus attendance bonus.

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Overhead Crane Operation: 1 year (preferred)
