From our funeral home on Rosebridge Way, Middleton & Wood Funeral Directors has been arranging beautiful funerals for the Ince and Wigan communities since the 1880s.

Originally we were based on Lower Wallgate Road before moving to this purpose built funeral home in 2008. We have a total of three funeral homes in Wigan, here in Ince and in Hindley & Golbourne.

Middleton & Wood Funeral Directors are looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual to join our team as a Funeral Service Arranger/ Call Handler. **What Will I Be Doing As A Funeral Service Arranger ?**

To regularly make Simplicity funeral arrangements and liaise with peers who will be participating in the process. To ensure consistent delivery of the highest levels of service in handling telephone calls from clients and members of the public and regularly make memorial arrangements/orders in a sensitive, timely and efficient manner.

**Other duties will include**:

- Ensure consistent delivery of the highest levels of client service and provision of all aspects of ‘Helping our Clients Every Step of the Way’
- Ensure that queries are responded to within our agreed response time
- Identify and highlight trends in any client queries, providing solutions to the more common queries
- Be conversant with company identification procedures, able to check identification tags and mortuary registers when necessary.
- Be able to take first calls according to Company guidelines ensuring that the full range of services and products are offered, thereby addressing the needs of the client
- Carry out any other duties when reasonably requested to do so by your Line Manager
- Carry out regular memorial orders and liaise with different stone masons
- Input information into a computer, using COMPASS system or any successive system that the Company may introduce

**What Do I Need?**
- Previous experience within a Customer Service or Administrative position.
- Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Comfortable coming into contact with the deceased through the Chapel of Rest visits.
- Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.
- Excellent attention to detail is essential.
- A passion for customer service.

**Advantageous**:

- Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
