The role of Cancer Pathways Coordinator specifcally involves tracking and helping to progress cancer cases through each point of the journey through the department to ensure optimal Care for patients. This involves closely liaising with the Cancer Services team and external organisations. A primary focus of the role is the close monitoring of Lynch Syndrome cases to coordinate all elements of the case, ie Histopathology, molecular referrals, discussion at multidisciplinary team meetings.

The role is rewarding and interesting, and is a great starting point for those wishing to gain experience of working in a healthcare environment.
