Directorate: Regeneration & Environment

Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week.

An opportunity has arisen for 2 Highway Inspectors to join the Highway Enforcement team at Rotherham Borough Council.

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professionals who will be based at Riverside House within Rotherham Town Centre, although there are opportunities to works from other depots within the Borough. These posts form part of the Highway Service which is responsible for all highway management and programmed maintenance on our network of 1100km roads which includes responsibility for safety inspections and highway enforcement in accordance with associated Codes of Practice and Highways Acts.

You will assist in the efficient and effective operation of the team which involves the identification, classification and recording of defects and other work required on highway surfaces and street furniture, whilst liaising with statutory undertakers as necessary.

Starting salary will be Band E - H (£24,294 - £35,745) depending on qualifications and experience.
