Recovery Coordinator

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Recovery **Coordinator
- Detox and Rehab Prep
- **who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

With this role you’ll be working as part of our Hatings team, and the role is a **fixed term contract** until **31st March 2025**.

**Salary**: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- To be based within the Substance Misuse Service with in-reach into local rehabilitation centres
- To hold a small caseload of service users who are preparing for rehab
- To deliver a detox and rehab prep group work programme and other support groups preparing a service user for engagement in a detox and rehab setting
- Identify service users who struggle to maintain a residential rehab placement or have struggled to access rehab in the past
- Create links with residential rehabilitation facilities and working to target those who are likely to return to rough sleeping
- Work with the rehabilitation provider and psychologist to support the sustainment of the rehabilitation place
- To support the service user when they are completing the rehabilitation process with housing and onward treatment
- To advocate for the service user about housing needs and source housing within the local area

**About you**:

- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
- Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
