**About Our Client**:
Our client based in Woking, Surrey are a highly successful business that have experienced impressive growth and are currently recruiting for a Trainee Payroll Administrator to join the team. You don't need to have Payroll experience for this role training and development will be given, some experience in administration would be beneficial.

As the Trainee Payroll Administrator based from Woking, Surrey you will be responsible for:

- Working within a payroll team and assisting the Pensions Team
- Is able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads in order to reach the payroll turnaround
- Working closely with the current outsourced provider (Access) to ensure a prompt and efficient payroll and pension service ensuring compliance with legislation and reporting requirements.
- Including checking the administration of starters, leavers, for both payroll and pensions, along with any other adhoc administrative tasks.
- To provide a customer focused payroll and pension function ensuring appropriate and responsive service and guidance to internal customers and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with HR, Finance and any other key stakeholders to ensure work is submitted and processed in a timely fashion, urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible.
- To support the completion and submission of all annual returns to HMRC and pension providers to the published deadlines and in the most efficient manner.
- To assist Finance in any monthly payroll reconciliations.
- Knowledge of pension and payroll helpful but not essential
- Submitting of LGPS and company Pension on a monthly basis in a timely manner, compliant to the relevant legislation and delivered in accordance to strict deadlines, along with communication with Pension stakeholders.

**The Successful Applicant**:
You don't need Payroll experience for this role training will be given

Experience in Administration would be beneficial

Strong IT skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The capacity to work under pressure and determine priorities on own initiative.

Good telephone manner with high level customer care skills.

Good communication skills, both oral and written, Good organisational and administration skills.
