For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
We operate across multiple UK locations, with studios based in Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool, and Wakefield. **We are seeking a highly motivated Outsource Artist to join our development team and have a big impact on the supply and distribution of assets to all the studios and support all the projects within the Rebellion group.**
We also have a long-term career path within the Outsource department, so there is a great opportunity to progress within Rebellion. If you're highly organised and detail-orientated, and have an excellent understanding of current game art pipelines and methodologies, we would love to hear from you
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Project Leads and External Vendors to create a broad range of high-quality assets that include architecture, nature, and props.
- Oversee the creation of 3D art content through all phases of production, ensuring all external assets conform to the defined quality, technical and artistic requirements.
- Perform Art reviews, provide quality feedback in our tracking tools, support collaboration and communication between our vendors and artists on multiple projects.
- Break down large features into individual art tasks / assets packs that can be distributed to an art team with varying levels of experience.
- Work with external studios and outsource partners to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality assets.
- Create and maintain documentation such as artwork briefs, asset specs, tools/ pipeline instructions and reference materials.
**Requirements**:
- A solid portfolio demonstrating experience in the creation of high-quality, high-resolution 3D assets, UV maps and textures from start to finish.
- Skilled with current tools and technologies: Maya/Max/Blender, Zbrush, Substance, Photoshop, etc. Photogrammetry experience a plus.
- Experience of implementing assets to a real time game engine such as Unreal or Unity.
- Knowledge of management tools such as Jira, Shotgun, Trello, etc.
- Strong communication skills with the capability to successfully work across multiple teams.
- Strong English skills, both written and verbal. Able to explain instructions to an external team in as simple and clear a manner as possible.
- A positive, collaborative, and professional working attitude.
