An opportunity has become available for a Team Leader to join our Non-Half Hourly Data Collection / Data Aggregation (NHHDC/DA) Team within our Data Services department.

The Team Leader will support the Data Services Manager in the development, management, and achievement of departmental strategic plans, KPIs and objectives, setting clear team goals and ensuring alignment with those of Data Services and the Business as a whole, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operation, monitoring team performance and reporting on metrics. The Team Leader will also fulfil supervisory duties for the NHHDC/DA team (including holiday, absence management, & day to day performance management) and all other general supervisory responsibilities such as creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, motivating team members, and actively developing the team, identifying areas of weakness/single points of failure, while ensuring regular training/development reviews are undertaken to ensure we maintain continual improvement.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday on a hybrid basis working from home, with travel to our Wigan office at least 2 days per week, with a salary to be discussed between £27,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience & qualifications.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Inspire and motivate the team to deliver daily objectives, hit productivity targets and operational KPIs.
- Continually seek tactical and strategic opportunities to identify possible areas for further exploration of improvement through the review of current operational performance and KPI metrics.
- Talent identification and bespoke people development, creating a high performing team.
- Support the Data Services Manager with the monitoring of staff in relation to their progress, performance and ensuring that the targets are being met.
- Manage KPI performance boards, managing and setting appropriate actions.
- Manage the performance and quality of departmental team functions.
- Liaise with supplier contacts as an escalation point.

**What we are looking for**
- Good standard of general education (GCSEs or equivalent).
- Demonstrable Team Leader/Leadership experience.
- Experience interpreting and presenting data in a clear format.
- Excellent leadership, problem solving, analysis, communication, conflict management, interpersonal, organisation & administration skills.
- Able to work as part of, inspire, and motivate a team and on own initiative.
- Any previous industry related experience & knowledge such as Data Retrieval (DR), MAM (Gas) and Meter Operator Agent (MOP) processes and procedures or balancing and Settlement Codes (BSC) for Data Services, would be desirable.
