**What you will do**:

- Be accountable for the growth and profitability performance of your product set and identify trends and opportunities to ensure growth and profitability is sustainable
- Account Performance:

- Understand the revenue and profit performance of your accounts
- Deliver the GWP and Profit financial plans for your products
- Liaise with colleagues in Underwriting and Sales to support delivery of plan
- Liaise with senior colleagues across all areas of DLG to drive underwriting strategy and technical direction
- Promptly manage underperforming areas of the account
- Matrix management of Underwriters, working with operational leaders to ensure quality technical output, identify Technical and Trading Training requirements for the business and address through training and coaching
- Provide case leadership with particular oversight and underwriting ownership of large cases
- Have a high profile in your market by meeting brokers to drive the growth and profitability of your products
- Identify and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to the role and following the DLG Insurance Risk framework and associated governance frameworks
- Alongside operational leaders, ensure Underwriter compliance with all aspects of DLG and external regulatory requirements
- Contribute to wider business activities. Drive and influence the national agenda for your respective class of business with engagement from all key stakeholders
- Ensure the long term relevance and viability of the product by contributing to and influencing the change function to ensure we lead the market in customer journey and underwriter functionality
