I’m a young lady with Autism, I live at home in Tweedbank with my family, I’m looking for a proactive, reliable, and friendly personal assistant to take me out and about in the community to help build my confidence and encourage independence. I suffer from anxiety so experience of Autism would be preferrable.

**Main Tasks & Responsibilities**
- To support a young adult and ensure their safety and well-being.
- To support with general care needs like eating and drinking
- To develop a positive relationship with the young adult and her parents
- To interact with the client and be proactive with activities they enjoy.
- To accompany the client on trips out and about, Museum visits, Edinburgh outings, Lunch out, etc.

**Personal Attributes**
- Kind and caring, sensitive to the client’s needs
- Patient and cheerful
- Ability to use your own initiative.
- Experience or willing to gain experience of the needs Autism brings.
- Driver with Business Insurance

**Hours**
- 8 hours per week
- Ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 2 hours each visit around 10am
- Days and times are flexible to suit both parties.

**Terms**
- £16.00 per hour.
- Mileage and expenses paid when out with the Client.
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata.
- PVG/References required.
- Probationary period of 3 months
- Mobile phone usage should be kept to emergency calls only.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Work Location: In person
