**Billings Specialist - Law - City**

**Wise May are looking for a Legal Biller to join this global Law business based in the heart of the City.**

**Significant billing experience would be beneficial to join the 3-person Finance team. The role reports to the Head of Finance as well as having a reporting line into the revenue lead in the US.**

**Duties include**:

- Matter management for the London office including WIP management, liaising with partners regarding WIP, bill timing and WIP write-offs in line with firm policy;
- Working with the Pricing team and reviewing profitability of matters for the London office.
- Ensuring that matters are set up correctly in UpFront e.g. VAT treatment, client address and contact name;
- Providing WIP reports and draft bills to the partners via SAP;
- Ensuring billing workflow is adhered to on SAP;
- Carrying out time and cost transfers when requested;
- Resolving any issues that occur during the billing process to avoid significant delays
- Working with the Head of Finance to achieve specific project targets set by management;
- Responsible for the Credit Control function;
- Ensuring the compliance of all bills issued with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and VAT Regulations;
- Liaising with the team regarding any client-to-office transfers required to settle outstanding bills;
- Undertaking ad-hoc duties as required by the Head of Finance.

**Skills required**:

- Good knowledge of VAT Regulations and Solicitors’ Accounts Rules;
- Familiarity with CRM/Elite 3E/SAP;
- Excellent customer service skills, confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders of all levels with a high degree of professionalism;
- Ability to work autonomously needing little direction, whilst also enjoying being part of a team;
- A 'can do' attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in order to see a project completed;
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and remain calm and positive.
