**Job summary**:
RAF Cosford is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our Executive Team. OC OSW is a Cosford Executive position overseeing 6 x departments across the Unit covering Contract Management, Infrastructure, Airfield Management, Engineering, Logistics, Information Management, Quality and Continuous Improvement and Health, Safety and Environmental Protection. The post is responsible for an organisation comprising 70+ personnel, which provides support to RAF Cosford, the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering Schools and all other resident units and external Parented units. The role also provides the Station Commander with risk management and assurance of activity across the Unit. The post sets the strategic direction for the wing and is required to address and co-ordinate arising issues impacting the output of RAF Cosford and its Resident and Parented Units.

You will have recent experience relevant to elements of the role as well as experience of managing a broad Whole Force team. The OC OSW role is a diverse and rewarding opportunity for resolute and focused Civil Servants to shape and influence RAF Cosford as a member of its Senior Leadership Team.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:

- Management of the Contract Management Team (CMT) and oversight of the monitoring of Soft and Hard facilities management to RAF Cosford, liaising with prime contractors as directed within HESTIA and FDIS contracts.
- Management of the HADES contract and build up work for Project HERA (HADES replacement). Negotiate and/or scrutinise contract amendments and prepare business cases as required.
- Management and oversight of the unit’s infrastructure and act as the POC for all infrastructure-related projects.
- Management of the Station Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Team and production of a local Health, Safety and Sustainable Development Policy.
- Management of all Airfield Services, including oversight of contracted Airfield Support Teams.
- Oversight management of Fire Services, provided by Capita.
- Information management and collaboration with the Digital Support Flight and act as the Intelligent Customer with various business partners.
- Management of Quality and Continuous Improvement Team, including elements of SESS and the provision of calibration to mechanical training aids and audio-visual support.
- Act as Senior Information Officer (SIO) for the RAF Cosford site. Ongoing responsibility for ensuring data integrity and security. Promoting Data Protection policies, investigating security issues, assessing business and personal data security assets and establishing and implementing data risk control measure regularly.
- Delivery of Logistics and Engineering functions to ensure continued provision of supply logistics to RAF Cosford and parented units. Overseeing asset management, inc. stock control, to a value of £55m and compliance/ adherence to MOD directives.
- Effectively capture and manage risk, including risk to life on PARMIS and providing assurance to the Station Commander that risks held are ALARP.
