**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- **Manage and Supervise Safe Places**: Establish and maintain regular contact with all designated Safe Places in the area. Ensure these places are equipped with the necessary communication tools (stickers, flyers, point-of-sale advertising) and that the staff are well-trained and aware of their roles in supporting UMAY’s mission.
- **Routine Visits and Training**: Conduct visits to each Safe Place at least once every two months to ensure compliance and provide updates on the latest UMAY initiatives.
- **Network Development**: Expand the Safe Places network by engaging new retailers and validating those interested in joining our mission.

**Qualifications**
- Currently pursuing a degree or equivalent educational background.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in social settings.
- Ability to build and maintain a network of contacts.
- High motivation and commitment to community safety.
- Proficiency in French is beneficial but not required.

**Skills**
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong networking capabilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and community engagement.

**Contract and Compensation**
- This is a minimum 6-month fixed-term contract role.
- Requires a part-time flexible commitment (15 hours per week).
- Compensation is at the minimum wage (£6.74 per hour)

**Freedom of Organization**
- Flexible scheduling: Organize your working days at the beginning of each month based on your availability, considering the operational hours of Safe Places.
- Regular reporting to a UMAY Manager who will provide guidance and support.
- Proximity to Wigan is a plus due to the number of safe places existing over there, which may require frequent on-site presence.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £6.74-£17.33 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
