Interested in joining our team? We need someone who is organised and a team player to support across the Packing, Dispatch & Logistics function. This role is paramount to ensuring an efficient transition of products from Bay Plastics to the end customer, you will coordinate and administer activities across our packing/dispatch/logistics function.

Your daily responsibilities will include packing, dispatching, route planning, quality checking and preparing orders; ensuring they are sent to the customer in a timely manner, in the correct packaging, and via the appropriate distribution route.

**The Role**
- The packing of our products for distribution to our customers through collection, our own transport and by courier delivery.
- Taking ownership for operational and dispatching administration, route planning, logistics and carriers, seeking guidance or escalating queries to the Warehouse & Logistics Lead and the Production Operations Manager when required; as well as collaborating with the businesses administrators and sales team to ensure all admin/paperwork is aligned and completed timely and based on commercial objectives.
- Ensuring cut plastic and manufactured products are accounted for, always documented and packaged for dispatch to the highest quality standards.
- Communicate with sales team and customers directly on estimated times of arrivals and any other delivery related enquiries.
- Help to investigate and follow up on carrier and customer queries as required (e.g. damage claims).
- Help to record, monitor, and analyse daily dispatch volumes so operational performance can be managed effectively.
- Maintain a sufficient level of packaging supplies.
- Using the Company’s software and equipment to ensure traceability of orders dispatched. (Training will be provided).
- Ensure compliance with all dispatching, transportation, and other logistics processes.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of work in compliance with company and regulatory procedures and standards, including ISO 9001.
- At all times, ensuring that good housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Maintain and advocate a clean, organised and safe working environment in parallel with 5S, Company policies and ISO 45001 standards.

- Maintain and advocate Bay Plastics sustainability policies in parallel with 5S, Company policies and Ecovadis standards.
- Support the Warehouse & Logistics Lead and the Production Operations Manager as required.
- As directed, carry out any other tasks within your skill set.

**Experience / Qualifications**
- This role does require you to be physically fit as packing duties will require you to stand for long periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately is imperative.
- IT Proficiency is essential.
- Experience of working in a warehouse/production environment is desirable but not essential.
- Maintain priorities and deadlines despite conflicting demands, schedules, and plans.
- Methodical and work as a team player.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to change.
- Pro-active and can-do attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- An approach that emphasises productivity and efficiency.

**Hours of work**:
Monday-Friday, 08:30am-5:30pm
