Despatch Operative/picker

**Role**:Despatch Operative/Picker **Reporting to**:Supervisor

**Site**: Lossie Seafoods, Arbroath

**Shift Pattern**:Sunday to Thursday, 42 hours per week

**Pay**: Pay rate and benefits to be negotiable depending on entry-level skills and/or experience

**Job Overview**:
As a part of despatch team you will be responsible for picking orders and making sure they are despatched to customers on time and as required.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Picking orders;
- Scanning barcodes;
- Accurate completion of paperwork;
- Safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles;
- Manual handling inclusive of heavy loads;
- Liaising with transport companies and drivers;
- Using despatch systems;
- Stock count ;
- Following site policies and procedures;
- Supporting despatch as needed in other tasks.
- Attention to detail;
- Numerical skills;
- Can do attitude;
- Flexible, committed to getting the job done in the right way
- Able to work unsupervised
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
- Inquisitive nature, keen to learn new skills and progress career within the company
- Previous experience is desirable, but not essential, training will be provided
