**Job summary**:
The establishment, growth, and onwards evolution of the Defence Cyber Academy will require new equipment, systems, tools, and support services (including contracted support and consultancy) to be implemented. This will be managed in the short to medium term through a programme as a series of projects. This role, under the direction of the Head of the Academy and the Facilities Manager, will take day-to-day responsibility for the procurement, management, oversight and onwards support of new systems and services. Working closely with the development team, the technical support team and Training and Education delivery staff, the post holder will have a critical role in ensuring the Defence Cyber Academy can rapidly scale its training and educational output. The Defence Cyber Academy itself will grow to approximately 50-strong by 2024.

**Job description**:
All applicants should be aware that due to this being in a relatively new and exciting growth area for Defence, the role objectives and responsibilities are likely to change as the Defence Cyber Academy evolves.
- Manage, track, and report on DCA projects as part of the DCA programme. To include commercial engagement and oversight, risk and issue management, detailed project management and support to financial tracking.
- Provide the secretariat function to the DCA Programme Boards and ensure wider regular reporting occurs.
- Procurement and implementation of communication, IT systems and Training and Education.
- Support the procurement, implementation, and integration of the IT infrastructure to support development and delivery of courses and other DCA activities.
- Procurement of external consultancy to support Defence Cyber Academy.

**Person specification**:
Specific responsibilities are liable to change as the role and organisation develop, but initially will include:

- Manage, track, and report the progress of DCA projects to the DCA board, head of DCA and Senior Responsible Officer of the DCA Programme (Dir DCMCI) throughout the financial year. Liaising with portfolio office, business and financial teams throughout the Defence Academy as required.
- Responsible for providing the secretariat function to the DCA programme, including providing the administration to the DCA Boards, and ensure wider regular reporting occurs by using extant reporting tools and processes (Portfolio Review Boards).
- Responsible for liaising with DCMCI financial and DefAc commercial staff for contracts and amendments, compiling and issuing tenders, and contributing to Defence Cyber Academy procurement strategy.
- Responsible for the procurement, provisioning, and management of a range of equipment, goods, and services.
- Being the Point of Contact for DCA staff for all procurement queries and requests. Tracking and maintaining all procurement, alongside DCMCI finance leads and support (and at times lead) all Contracting Purchasing & Finance (CP&F) transactions.
- Management of projects/contracts/contractors as required.
- Using project/programme tools for reporting
- Responsible for building and maintain relationships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to maintain and increase DCA’s outputs.
- Complete all mandatory training.
