CNC Operator

**Are you an experienced CNC Operator with knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100?**

**Do you have experience of manipulation and modification of Computer Aided Design (CAD) models?**

If so, we have a unique opportunity in Dartford for a CNC Operator to work for one of our clients who design, develop, manufacture, and sell a range of state-of-the-art, ground-breaking security and defence solutions.

In this role you would be working 06:30 - 16:20 Monday to Thursday 37.5 hours per week. Our client is offering a competitive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

**As the CNC Operator your responsibilities would include**:

- Setting and operating any of the company’s VMC CNC machines
- Performing First Off's, checking dimensional quality & amending machine settings in pursuit of component design requirements
- Operating to an acceptable production target whist maintaining a high standard of quality where 'right-first-time’ is paramount
- Maintaining computer records on tool usage relating to barrel & other matched machined parts
- Setting up and operating all types of manual machining equipment, covering milling, turning, grinding, and marking processes
- Other duties as deemed reasonable

**CNC Operator Person Specification**:

- Previous experience as a CNC Setter Operator with both Fanuc and Heidenhain based CNC programming
- Experience in the use of One CNC
- Experience in the manipulation and modification of customers’ CAD models where required.
- An excellent attention to detail & mechanical dexterity when dealing with small precision parts
- Problem identification and rectification
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good working knowledge of both ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Systems
- Good communication skills
- A high level of proactivity and problem solving
- The physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks
