Class Leader

Cook Stars Southwell and Mansfield are hiring for Class Leaders, Class Helpers and Party Helpers.

Since launching Cook Stars Southwell and Mansfield our reach has grown hugely and we are being inundated with requests from different schools and organisations to run sessions. This is leading to us now wanting to recruit Class Leaders and Class Helpers. We currently run lessons in the local area every day after school and also on a Saturday morning. Lessons are for children aged 2-11 but we are looking to launch lessons for children aged 12-17 too.

Working hours can be negotiated to suit you but our main work is running after school clubs during term time so we would be looking for commitment to at least one after school club a week. We are also running funded holiday clubs and parties so need staff to support those.

Our lessons run in Southwell, Mansfield, Ollerton and we am looking at launching classes in Hucknall and Ravenshead.
- will hold or be willing to obtain a DBS
- will hold or be willing to undertake a Level 2 Food hygiene certificate
- will hold or be willing to undertake a First Aid qualification
- will hold a valid driving licence and have their own vehicle

It is not necessary to have a teaching or hospitality background but it is essential that Class Leaders and Helpers are friendly, enjoy cooking and have the patience and enthusiasm to work with children. It is really important that you are passionate about children learning to cook and that you always arrive to classes with a smile and enthusiasm.

We offer competitive rates of pay. Term time classes are generally 1.25hrs long and you will be paid for preparation before and cleaning after as well.

I am hoping these roles will build and Cook Stars Southwell and Mansfield will continue to work with a host of local groups and schools. We are a small team, but welcoming and supportive.
