**Location**: Kendal, Cumbria

**Salary**: £31,395 - £33,638 per annum

**Hours**: Full Time and Part Time hours available - you can choose depending on your preference (options of 11.5 hours, 23 hours, 34.5 hours, or 37.5 hours)

**Shifts**: Options of Days only (8am - 8.20pm) or Nights only (8pm - 8.20am) or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified/ Preceptorship Nurse (RMN and RNLD) to work within a very positive, friendly and supportive specialist service for 16 adults living with a Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Needs.

The Service provides a specialist provision with enhanced levels of support which allows patients with continuing Challenging Behaviour and high support needs to be cared for in the least restrictive setting possible, but within a service which is robust and structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and risks.

The Service has a very positive and supportive work environment with a brilliant long-standing team. The culture of the hospital is very team orientated and the Managers have an open-door policy and are very approachable and respectful; everyone's contribution is valued.

**Preceptorship Programme**:
The Service has a strong commitment to provide support for newly qualified nurses. This is via a purpose built, structured and comprehensive preceptorship programme. The programme is completed over a 12 - week period where you will be a fully supernumerary nurse. This allows you to fully immerse yourself into learning aspects of your new role, whilst having a nurse mentor to work alongside.

**Job Role**:
Ensuring patients lead meaningful everyday lives, where they have choice and control, accessing mainstream services and facilities, engaging in work and training, in leisure, hobbies and other areas of interest.

The service encourages those to be as independent as possible with the long -term aim of people moving into a more independent living setting.

Working alongside of colleagues to build relationships and make an everyday difference to those in your care.
