Support Worker, Blackburn

Start February 2023

A special education school for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is seeking a Support Worker to join our dedicated team. As a Support Worker in our SEMH school, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusiveenvironment for our students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-to-one support for students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist with behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers to provide individualised support to meet the needs of each student.
- Encourage and support students in their personal and academic development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- A kind and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- A passion for working with children and promoting their learning and development.
