Draughtsperson

**Job Description Summary**: As part of the Naval Engineering team you will be responsible to provide technical solutions in the form of steam turbines for the purpose of power generation or propulsion. This is done through the execution of design contracts as well as life time management through build, assembly, commissioning and test. Additionally the department provides technical support to the installed units during outages for service and problem resolution on operational issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertake production of 2D drawings and Bills of Materials for components and assemblies.
- Support to project engineers in production of 3D models and sketches.
- Generate design solutions for minor assemblies, tooling, transport frames and jigs as appropriate.
- Produce documentation in support of factory tasks such as check sheets, build diagrams and clearance charts.
- Use in-house PLM system for configuration and order management.

**Required Qualifications**:

- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 3 plus years of modelling and drafting experience.
- Understanding of drawing standards and tolerancing.
- Excellent knowledge of Catia v.5 or experience of other CAD packages
- Technical knowledge of rotating equipment, turbines preferable
