Dr Stocks & Partners is looking for a Clinical Read Coder to provide a high quality, professional administrative service supporting a team of clinicians in general practice.

**Main duties of the job**

Read Code relevant information into the clinical system, working in strict accordance with practice policies and protocols.

The role of Clinical Coder is fundamental to the smooth running of the practice and has a unique role in ensuring accurate patient records are available for clinical colleagues and external stakeholders.

Liaise with clinical colleagues to ensure that correct information is recorded for patients and that they are aware of actions required by the GP.

The post holder will be responsible for reviewing incoming mail and documents on patients' records ensuring this is accurately recorded in date order

Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc. are assembled according to practice protocol, managing workload with an organised and methodical approach.

Communicate effectively with a range of colleagues and patients.

Scanning documents, ensuring that they are recorded accurately and on the correct patient record.

Work accurately when reviewing clinical documentation and follow clear protocols to ensure that clinical details are recorded correctly on patient records.

Prioritise your workload on a daily basis.

Work both independently and within a small team.

Remain calm under pressure.

Adopt a flexible working approach to ensure that the clinical coding team is staffed during periods of absences and sickness when required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

**Salary**: £10.72 per hour

- Medical terminology: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative: 1 year (required)
