Advanced Mammographer

The post holder will work as a specialist diagnostic radiographer in Mammography and supporting interventional Ultrasound,being responsible fora variable caseload of patients.

Patients will present with a full range of complex conditions and the post holder willbe responsible forcarrying out theappropriate diagnosticprocedures to support the diagnosis of complex conditions.

The post holder will supervise,supportandassiststudents and junior radiographers in service delivery and personal development.

The UCH Imaging Department has a comprehensive range of state of the art equipment, including 6 MRI, 5 CT scanners, digital Interventional Suites and 10 digital X-ray rooms.

The Macmillan Cancer Centre has 2 Hologic Mammography machines and 2 Ultrasound rooms dedicated to Symptomatic Breast services. The entire Breast service will be soon moving to a newly built building in Bedford Passage.
