**Job summary**:
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join the Defence Centre of Training Support (DCTS). We are a delivery unit within the UK Defence Academy, Shrivenham. Our role is to prepare and develop people employed to analyse, deliver, design, manage or assure UK Defence training. Specifically, this role will support the delivery of DLE training and assist in digital training and education development capability both within DCTS and the wider Defence Academy as required.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
The SO2 (Higher Executive Officer) DLE Trainer is responsible for providing the Defence Academy with a role that can design, deliver, assure and maintain DLE specific related training for Defence, notably the DLE Defence Online Learning Course (DOLC) and support DLE Role Functionality Training (RFT). Additionally, the role will support both DCTS and wider Defence Academy digital course design, development and delivery as require. The role is also responsible for the line management of the DLE SO3 (Executive Officer) Trainer role.

The DOLC is a two day learning intervention designed to assist training support staff in the design and delivery of training that utilises the DLE. The course is primarily delivered through a remote supported learning method using MODNet Teams, and requires students to prepare and deliver DLE related training product examples as part of the pre and post course learning requirement.

**Person specification**:
The main objectives of this role are to:

- Act as course manager and deliver the DLE DOLC and support the DLE RFT in line with the DLE Defence Instructional Note programme in accordance with the annual Defence Statement of Training Task.
- Develop, design and implement change to DLE DOLC and DLE RFT training as directed by SO1 DCTS and SO1 Digital Training, providing additional functional support to other courses as appropriate
- Support in the delivery of a digital delivery Training Needs Analysis as required by DCTS and the Defence Academy.
- Support the SO1 DCTS and SO1 Digital Training in promoting Digital training across defence, including potentially the delivery of one digital training event per year
- Support DCTS in delivering its key outputs, enhancing digital elements of its Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and Defence Trainer Capability (DTC) courses as identified by Assistant Head Technology Enhance Learning and SO1 DCTS
- Line manage the SO3 (EO) DLE Trainer appointment.
- Continue your personal and professional development to ensure you maintain and enhance delivery skills to enhance personal and organisational outputs
