Encon’s Head Office is based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire where c.50 employees provide specialist functions, providing support to the Branch network, including the HR Department.

**The Role**

This is an exciting new role that sits within our HR Service Centre. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this role primarily focuses on supporting the implementation, management, and continual facilitation of our training provision through the Encon Academy.

The post holder will also be required to support the HR Service Centre Coordinators with more complex queries in relation to pay, benefits and other transactional activities, cover holidays/absences of the HR Coordinators and support any team projects and cyclic events such as pay reviews.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sound generalist HR experience who is looking to focus on learning and development (L&D). You will be drive, providing a high level of customer service to your stakeholders, and have a key eye for detail. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with lots of stakeholder engagement.

Externally - External support partners, such as training, benefit, and payroll providers.

**Experience**:

- Generalist HR experience
- Proven track record of working in a HR Department
- Experience of coordinating and supporting L&D programmes
- Experience of all transactional HR processes and administration, including issuing contractors of employment and contract variations.

**Skills**:

- CIPD Level 5
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Exceptional listening skills
- Ability to establish good working relationships and gain confidence of managers.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Learning & Development**
- Day to day facilitation of the Encon Academy - arranging training, identifying training providers, assessing quality of training and providers by attending sessions and gaining feedback from the attendees.
- Coordinating all training which covers three separate business areas: compliance, commercial and skill-based training.
- Support the apprenticeship strategy, providing advice and support to line managers and learners currently undertaking apprenticeships, maintaining good communication with the apprenticeship providers.
- Issuing and monitoring feedback forms to ensure effective training delivery.
- Creating training materials to support courses and programmes being delivered.
- Researching new training options and putting forward ideas for training modules, courses, and sessions.
- Support the HR Management Team with the design of new training courses, career development paths and skill matrices.
- Work with the HSEQ and IT teams to maintain the new starter induction programme, updating where necessary.
- Arrange inductions at Head Office for new starters and role changes, organising diaries, hotels, and refreshments where applicable.
- Maintain all training records across the business, ensuring accurate records are kept.
- Prepare the monthly HR Management Information reports in relation to L&D activities.

**Service Centre**
- Process all documentation in a professional manner, being mindful of aways promoting the company image.
- Support and advise managers on company policies and procedures.
- Provide sound, practical HR advice and guidance across the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, terms and conditions, pay and benefits in line with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in HR related projects and coordinate the implementation of key activities in line with the overall HR people plan.
- Ensure the consistent and accurate implementation of HR processes in line with HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain consistent electronic and paper-based HR records, ensuring accuracy of information in line with data protection requirements to maintain the integrity of HR data.

- 37.5 per week

Holiday Entitlement
- 23 days, rising to 25 after 2 years’ service
