Are you an experienced Buyer or Junior Buyer in the Engineering or Manufacturing Industry looking for an opportunity to work with a friendly team as part of a successful Global Business?
Do you have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Purchasing & Supply Chain environment and looking for that next step to develop your skills in Negotiation and strategy?
We have a superb opportunity to work as a Buyer focussing initially on raw materials buying with a successful business that excels in advanced engineering solutions for the Aerospace, Marine, Energy and Automotive sectors.
Key tasks include:

- To purchase equipment and services to support project managers, and internal customers as required.
- The preparation of enquiries, purchase orders, evaluation of bids and contractual negotiations, to optimise returns achieving/improving upon budgeted costs, ensuring 'best practice'.
- Acting as Lead Buyer on several critical projects from project assessment phase, through bid phase, and into manufacturing and delivery phases.
- Taking the lead in Supplier project meetings and acting as key point of contact with the supply Chain
- Selection and onboarding of new suppliers in line with company procurement strategy
- To negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit to the business.
- To expedite suppliers and produce regular feedback to the project team.
A minimum of 2 years' experience is required as a Junior Buyer or Buyer or in Supply Chain/Planning for Engineering and Manufacturing within a technical environment.
