The successful applicant will be employed by Vigilant Security based at our Head Office in Dumfries on a full time contract and will work towards attainment of an SVQ Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

**What We Offer**:

- Working hours of Monday - Friday 09:00hrs until 17:00hrs with 1 hour for lunch
- Working towards the attainment of an SVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration
- 20 days holiday plus 8 statutory holidays per annum

**Preferred Skills**:

- Excellent written communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- An good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for a detail
- A real desire to learn the various aspects of the Commercial Department: client engagement; pricing; tender submissions; bid-writing; new business prospecting
- Willingness to learn software used for tracking sales and generating quotes and POs

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Processing inbound quotation requests
- Updating software with quote/pricing status
- Communicating with finance and operations on approved deals
- Assisting with bid-writing and tender submissions
- Maintaining and updating spreadsheets accordingly
- Review market and competitor activity via social media
- Administrative tasks within a commercial setting

Please note completion of the Modern Apprenticeship programme may lead to a Full Time permanent position.
